Human Resources Pros

No two Human Resources/Talent professionals and/or Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practitioners have roles that are scoped the same way. Whether you’re looking to expand your knowledge base around strategic human capital strategy with an antiracist and equity focused frame or you’re simply looking for a thought partner or consult with a fellow practitioner in the work, — you’ve found the right place.

Not sure this is you?

We work with clients in a variety of different ways. Every client’s needs are different, but they all directly connect to a people-focused strategy that centers antiracist practice and inclusive leadership, in service of racial equity and racial justice.

Our clients are often:

  • Staff Employee Resource Group (ERG) or Professional Learning Community (PLC) leads, members or other staff taking on informal DEI specific roles within their organizations to move forward commitments in DEI

  • Executives leaders in for-profit, non-profits and government agencies: CEOs, Executive Directors, SVPs/VPs and Chiefs of Staff

  • Chief Diversity Officers, Diversity Directors and DEI Program Managers

  • Chief People Officers, HR Directors, Talent Leads (and aspiring talent leaders!)

  • Individual hoping to transition into DEI specific roles after informally leading this work in their personal lives as activists and organizers

Some of our clients have worked with a coach to confidentially:

  • MOST COMMONLY: Talking through daily challenges in navigating inclusive, strategic HR practice /DEI work, generally with an objective third party with aligned expertise…

  • Audit their leadership style and approach with a racially explicit lens in service of enhancing or building inclusive leadership practices in their professional life

  • Talk through how to prepare for a difficult conversation with a racially explicit lens – being mindful of power dynamics and working towards situational and self-awareness in personal and/or professional spaces

  • Discuss approaches for the development of Diversity-centered roles (i.e., recruitment, selection design and on-boarding design for Chief Diversity Officers), professional learning communities, DEI advisory boards and/or employee resource groups

  • Receive guidance on where to start or enhance a personal learning journey and build a personal scope and sequence for an individual development plan regarding DEI/Antiracism

  • Discuss core racial equity concepts with a (DEI practitioner!) to check for understanding or prepare for an in-house training as a facilitator

Ultimately, we believe in creating brave spaces for candid conversations that objectively discuss those subjects that others may shy away from. In order to do that:

We know how difficult this work is (period!) and how lonely it can sometimes feel.

We emphasize the importance of confidentiality and work to create space for practitioners to speak openly about challenges, questions or concerns as people, first — and professionals/practitioners, second.

We honor who are clients are as learners, assume positive intent and are also direct in discussing individual and systemic racism, the way it shows up in the world and approaches that work to dismantle it.

We approach our work as the coaches, HR professionals and DEI practitioners we are. who know how to approach learning and interpersonal dynamics in and outside of the work place

We co-design and customize coaching plans for every client. In DEI focused coaching, this is especially important as this is personal work, even if you intend for your learnings to be applied in a professional setting.

We’d love to better understand your needs and create a custom coaching plan for you – this can be one session or several.
