ASPIRING ALLIES
If you’re a personal journey to expand your understanding around race, power and privilege in service of racial equity — or aren’t quite sure what that means, but know you need to begin the work of understanding diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) related language, foundational concepts and how to ensure you’re supporting antiracist efforts in action, you’ve found the right place.
Not sure this is you?
We work with clients in a variety of different ways. Every client’s needs are different, but they all directly connect to the life-long commitment that is aspiring allyship in service of racial equity and racial justice.
Some of our clients have worked with a coach to confidentially:
-
Receive guidance on where to start a personal learning journey and build a personal scope and sequence for an individual development plan regarding DEI/Antiracism
-
Debrief core concepts racial equity concepts with a (DEI practitioner!) to check for understanding
-
Audit their leadership style and approach with a racially explicit lens in service of enhancing or building inclusive leadership practices in their professional life
-
Talk through how to prepare for a difficult conversation with a racially explicit lens – being mindful of power dynamics and working towards situational and self-awareness in personal and/or professional spaces
-
Develop professional learning communities, DEI advisory boards and/or employee resource groups for other aspiring allies
Ultimately, we believe in creating brave spaces for candid conversations that objectively discuss those subjects that others may shy away from. In order to do that:
We honor who are clients are as learners, assume positive intent and are also direct in discussing individual and systemic racism, the way it shows up in the world and approaches that work to dismantle it
We approach our work as the coaches, HR professionals and DEI practitioners we are. who know how to approach learning and interpersonal dynamics in and outside of the work place.
We co-design and customize coaching plans for every client. In allyship coaching, this is especially important as this is personal work, even if you intend for your learnings to be applied in a professional setting.
We’d love to better understand your needs and create a custom coaching plan for you – this can be one session or several.
